MAINTENANCE
Follow these maintenance instructions for best functionality and useful life.
Remove any splashed salt water with a cloth moistened with fresh water.
Do not use glass cleaning agents on the display, this will damge the unit.
Clean with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent.
Do not rub too hard.
Be careful not to scratch the display. If the boat has been in the water for a long time, fouling can
reduce sensor functionality.
Clean the sensor surface regularly with washing-up liquid or the equivalent. When the boat is first
put in the water it may take a while before the sensor surface is free from bubbles, which can
reduce functionality. You can wipe away the bubbles by hand when the sensor is lowered into the
water.
Never expose the unit to high temperatures, e.g. in a closed car
– this can damage the unit.
