Form 3: Automated Attendant Menu
Prompt
The menu prompt can be up to two minutes long. It can supply frequently
requested information so that your staff is free to assist customers or to perform
other tasks more efficiently. For example:
“Thank you for calling the Hertz & Howe Autoworld. Our sales
and service departments are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday
through Saturday. If you know the extension you want, dial it
now. To speak to our service department, press 3. To speak
with an E-Z Lease program representative, press 4. For other
assistance, press 0 to speak with our receptionist. To
replay this message, press * 4.”
The default menu prompt is:
“Hello, welcome to PARTNER Voice Messaging.
Please enter the extension number of the person you wish to
reach. Or to reach the receptionist, press 0.”
General Information

The Automated Attendant Menu Prompt should contain a welcome and a
list of menu options.
■
The welcome should introduce the company. For example, “Thank you for
calling the Any Travel Agency.”
