Connect Stations to your
WavePOINT-II AP

When powering up the ORiNOCO WavePOINT-II AP for the first time, the
unit will start bridging operation in access point mode, using the ORiNOCO
parameters as listed in Appendix B ”WavePOINT-II AP Start-up
Configuration”.
The access point mode enables you to connect wireless stations to the
WavePOINT-II AP, provided that these stations have been configured to use
ORiNOCO parameter values that match the configuration of your access
point.

In ORiNOCO infrastructures, all ORiNOCO equipped devices and wireless
stations must use the same ORiNOCO network name

Alternatively you can (re-)configure the stations to use the value “ANY” (all
upper-case) to allow a station to connect to the first access point it can find.
Once the ORiNOCO stations has the correct ORiNOCO network name, it will
automatically select the correct radio channel and establish the connection
with the WavePOINT-II AP.
