The Button Label Sheet and Cover Plate
The Display Console comes with one clear plastic cover plate and two
different button label sheets for the MERLIN II System with Feature
Module 2:

A button label sheet for normal call handling (Figure 6).
A white button label sheet is to be used for administration only (Fig-
ure 7).
To program and label buttons on your Display Console, refer to your
MERLIN II System with Feature Module 2 Installation and Administration
Manual, Section 4, “Administering the System.” Once you have used the
administration button label sheet, it can be folded along the perforation
and stored in the system manual for future use. If you do not have a
MERLIN II System with Feature Module 2, save the enclosed button
label sheets in case you upgrade your system.
NOTE: The button label sheet is erasable and can be reused. There-
fore, when labeling buttons, you may want to use a typewriter, or
ballpoint pen or pencil. Do not use a permanent marker.
ORDERING OTHER BUTTON LABEL SHEETS
If you do not have a MERLIN II System with Feature Module 2, to order
other cover plates and button label sheets, call the AT&T Customer
Information Center’s toll-free number 1-800-432-6600. Specify the
appropriate order number from the following table based on the type of
communications system you have. Each kit contains one cover plate
and one button label sheet except the kit for the MERLIN II System with
Feature Module 2 which contains two button label sheets, one for call
handing and one for administration.
