1. The caregiver stands beside
the chair at the user’s height
and faces the chair. They then
pull the backrest upright with one
hand while the other hand leans
on the armrest, while making a
slight lateral weight transfer from
one leg to the other. This maneuver
will upright the backrest.
2. The caregiver squats with their
back straight and pushes down on
the center of the leg rest to lower it
down and store it under the seat.
