Logmar Camera Solutions IVS
Eject/Load film cassette:
The camera has two different modes it can operate in and selecting one option makes the other
available.
1.
Eject film cassette
2.
Load film cassette
When invoking “Eject film cassette” the camera retracts the registration pin and claw from the film
perforation and thereby makes it possible to remove the cassette from the camera and/or insert a new
film cassette into the camera.
The camera also resets it’s frame counter and makes a new directory on the SD-CARD for the next
cassette so that audio recordings are separated.
After loading a new film into the camera the camera needs to “load” it, which can be done by selecting
“Load film cassette” from the menu.
It is possible to eject film cassette without physically removing the cassette
(if the cassette has not run
out of film)
after which you can invoke load film again – this is useful if you want to reset the
elapsed/remaining film counter to zero.
If there’s a cassette inside the camera that has “run out” so that the display shows “FILM END” in the
status bar you will need to manually cut the film before you can actually invoke the “Eject film cassette”
option as the film end switch / pressure plate lock switch is engaged.
Once you have cut the film you should see that the eject film
cassette option becomes available in the LCD and after invoking this
you can safely remove the cassette and film from the gate.
DANGER
NEVER remove the film cartridge/cassette without having engaged the film position
first as doing so can damage the camera
