2.1 Turning the SCSI-NG on and off
A 12V grounded, 7.5A (output DC) power supply that connects to the back of the unit is included. Attach
the power supply to the DC IN port located in the back of the unit.
To turn the unit on, press and immediately release the power switch located on the back of the unit.
There are two ways of turning the unit off:
1.
Press and immediately release the power switch located on the back of the unit. The unit will
begin the shutdown process and after a few seconds, the display and fans will turn off.
2.
Using the Graphical User Interface (GUI) either on the touch screen or via a browser through a
remote connection, navigate to the
Power Off
screen and tap or click the
Power Off
icon.
2.2 Connecting various drive types
Cables and adapters are available for the following drive types:
68-pin SCSI drives
80-pin Single Connector Attachment (SCA) SCSI drives
50-pin SCSI drives
When connecting/disconnecting drives using drive adapters, it is
recommended to keep the drive connected to the adapter and
cables, then connect/disconnect cables to/from SCSI-NG ports.
2.2.1 Connecting Master Drives
Master drives must be connected to the left bay of the unit. This bay is write-protected.
