2. Test the continuity of connecting cable using multimeter.
3. Check the communication parameters of energy meter like ID
Baud rate etc. ID should be configured as per generator (Id=1 for
Generator 1 and ID =2 for generator 2).
4. Check that the number of data bits is set to 8, with one stop bit
and no parity.
5. Check the communication LEDs of energy meter(Rx,Tx) is blinking.
6. If still not working disconnect the energy meter from the IoT cloud
connector and follow the steps listed here:
a. Install modbus poll master software on your laptop. You
can download it from
http://www.modbustools.com/download.html
b. Connect a USB to RS485 converter to your laptop(this can
be procured locally)
c. Connect RS485 out of energy meter with Laptop using
USB to RS485 connecting converter
d. Configure Modbus master software as follows for
communication
i. baud rate:9600
ii. Parity bit: None
iii. Stop Bit: 1
e. Click connect and configure as follows :
● Function code: 04
● Slave ID:01-247(as per configured in meter)
● Address between 30001 to 30076
f. If no response from the energy meter contact our support
team.
10. Cloud Connector not Powering:
1. Check that power LED status is bright. Check connection and
wiring to the generator power supply port. Power supply should
be proper and its connected on right channel on the Cloud
gateway with right polarity.
