Troubleshooting
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
Auger will not turn. Key disengaged or sheared. Verify key stock on motor shaft and
auger shaft are engaged.
Auger chain broken. Replace drive chain. (See page 30
for exploded view).
Motor malfunction. Repair or replace complete unit.
Hydraulic hose connection. Check to make sure they are
connected into the correct outlet
ports on the spool valve.
Spout will not rotate. Frozen snow. Snow or ice has become compacted
on spout rotator gear. Remove as
required and clean after each use to
avoid freezing.
Gear alignment. Spout rotator gear and drive sprocket
have become misaligned.
Hydraulic hose connections. Check to make sure they are
connected into the correct outlet
ports on the spool valve.
Electrical connections. Check to make sure they are properly
connected.
Check to make sure there is power to
the connector from the loader.
Snow not discharging from spout. Compacted with snow. Disengage hydraulic controls (release
all hydraulic pressure), turn the skid-
loader off, then using a wooden pole
clean the snow from the spout.
Fan not turning. Verify key stock on shaft is engaged.
