CLEANING/MAINTENANCE

Maintaining the Bath Lift

A maintenance check of the bath lift has to be conducted periodically at least every 12 months. This check
includes a visual inspection of all the parts, especially load-bearing parts. You should also check all necessary
functions. All inspections have to be carried out by a qualified personnel. This qualified personnel has to
remain objective with regards to the tests and inspections being carried out. Please ask a qualified personnel
to arrange for periodic inspections. The hand control must only be opened by the bath lift manufacturer.

Cleaning the Bath Lift

•  The bath lift should be cleaned after each use with hot water.
•  Use disinfectants or bath cleansers to clean the bath lift after removing the seat covers.
•  To clean seat covers, wash by hand or in a washing machine at 140° F (60° C.) Please use a non-bio
detergent without any enzyme additives for cleaning.

NOTE: Discoloration can occur if covers come in contact with bath oils or if covers are not cleaned
    regularly.

•  Hang covers up to air dry.

Do not put covers in a dryer.

Maintaining the Battery Charger

The charger does not require any maintenance. The charger should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Make sure
liquid does not enter the charging unit. Make sure the charger is completely dry before using it. The charger
should also be disconnected from the main power before it is cleaned.

Charging the Battery
WARNING! Do not use battery charger in the bathroom.

Ensure the battery is fully charged before using the bath lift.
   1) Plug the jack plug of the battery charger into the jack socket on the spiral cord of the hand control until the
       jack plug is locked in.
   2) Insert the main plug of the battery charger into a power socket. The lamp on the hand control will light up
red. Once the battery is charged the light will turn to green.
             •

Automatic Stop:

If the charger is left plugged in, it will automatically end after about four (4) hours.

This way the battery will not be overcharged, but will be charged to its fullest.
             •

Manual Stop:

If you don’t wish to wait, once the light turns green, you can immediately remove the

main plug of the battery charger from the power socket. Then, remove the jack plug of the battery
charger from the socket of the hand control.

NOTE: If the light on the hand control is not lighting up after connecting the hand control and battery
charger, please check to make sure that everything is properly connected.

Transporting the Bath Lift

1)  Disconnect the hand control before transporting the bath lift.
2) Transport with care. Avoid bumping, sliding or knocking the bath lift during transportation.
        •
