No Audio!
With the Intersekt and Knekt-D you may have connected up the system and NO SOUND!
Some basic checks to make:-
•
Check the LED and the Knekt-R/Sneaky-R. If this is showing RED you have a
problem (OK, I know the problem is that you’ve no sound!). probably a connection
problem. The LED should normally be GREEN.
•
The RED LED shows you that you that POWER is coming in on the
BALANCED cable from the MAIN room.
•
Check that EVERY room has the RJ45/Fcc68 cable from the MAIN
roon connected to the BALANCED socket on the Line Receiver, NOT
the RCU socket.
•
If the cable is too close a mains/power cable, this can induce power into
the cable and feed it back to the Intersekt. Check that you are using
twisted pair cable with the pairs in the correct order (1/4, 2/3, 5/8 and
6/7).
•
The RED LED also tells you that the Power supply on the Knekt-R isn’t strong
enough. Disconnect the RCU. If eveything comes alive check that the cable to
the RCU OK! Also Check that the Supply is a Linn supply and it is the correct
Mains voltage.
•
On the Intersekt the Audio will MUTE for the following reasons:-
•
If you have POWER coming in on the BALANCED cable (as above). Check
that each Room has the Balanced Cable, (Room1-8), from the Intersekt
connected to the BALANCED input on the KNEKT-R. NOT the RCU socket
on the Knekt-R!
•
The Power coming into the Intersekt maybe due to cable routing. If the cable is
too close a mains/power cable, this can induce power into the cable and feed it
back to the Intersekt. Check that you are using twisted pair cable with the pairs
in the correct order (1/4, 2/3, 5/8 and 6/7).
•
If the Mains is take a dip, because say the Air conditioning motor comes on, the
Intersekt will Mute for about a second.
The LED for the Intersekt in close to the MAINS inlet area of the board. To see it you
will have to remove the Product sleeve. When you switch the Intersekt ON or OFF you
will see a RED LED flash. This LED shows the MUTE state of the Intersekt, LED ON
theh MUTE, LED OFF then UNMUTE.
