VMC1MB Installation
Pull Wires
• Pull all the Door and Room station cables to the location of the Master Station (VMC1MB)
• Connect to Terminal Block (See Figure 3)
The VMC1 Rough In Kit includes an eight position terminal block for ease of installation. For all Door Stations and Home-Run Room Stations, the
majority of the wires will be connected to this Terminal Block. Before installing the terminal block, Linear recommends pre-wiring and then firmly
attach the terminal block to an available wood stud within 12 inches of the Master Unit location.
No more then 5 room stations should connect to a single terminal block that is then connected to the Master Unit. If the installation consists of more
than 5 room stations, Linear recommends using the optional Linear H628 (8 stations) or DMD-16(16 stations) Data Distribution module.
The recommended wire color convention is recommended:
