Linear PCM embedded in the SDI output can also be delayed to match the video delay.
This will allow lipsync between picture and both Dolby encoded audio and LPCM audio.
o
Subtract LPCM audio delay from total video delay to get the additional LPCM
delay required.
o
266.88 – 180 = 86.88 ms of delay can be added to each LPCM pair.
o
AES digital outputs can be used for in house monitoring and will be in sync with
picture.
o
A lip sync test can be used to fine tune the value if necessary.
Note that each Instance has independent LPCM and Dolby encoded output delays.
To make the audio delay adjustments from the front panel:
1.
Select Instance 1 and press Right to open the menu.
2.
Select Output > Output Delay > Select any of the Output Delay adjustments and use the
rotary to set the delay in ms.

We hope that after following along with the preceding front panel configurations using the
front panel is now a familiar task. Here are two tips to remember when working from the front
panel:
•
If you ever get lost in the menu structure pressing the Left arrow key, several times, will
always take you back, one menu level at a time, to the AERO.2000 main screen.
•
Remember that your location in the menu is always shown at the top of the front panel
display.
The next Section, Section 6, describes how to configure the AERO.2000 using NfRemote, a
comprehensive IP remote control application.
Section 7 contains a description of all of the configuration tasks necessary for a common use
case.
