5.1 Routine Maintenance
These tasks should be performed on a monthly basis unless otherwise noted. In
excessively dirty environments or in heavy usage situations, these tasks should be
performed more frequently.
5.1.1 Advanced Process Controller (APC)
Verify that all exterior hose connectors are tight and that there are no leaks.
Only tighten fittings enough to make a seal. The fittings are subject to damage
if over tightened.
Inspect all exterior hoses to ensure no damage exists. Immediately replace any
damaged hoses.
Remove the cover of the APC. Using clean, dry, compressed air
(30 psi maximum), blow out all accumulated dust inside the unit.
Verify that all PC board connectors are installed securely, then replace cover.
5.1.2 Pierce Head, Additive Reservoir, Cables, and Hoses
Verify that all hose connections are tight and that there are no leaks. Only
tighten the fittings enough to make a seal. The fittings are subject to damage if
over tightened.
Inspect all cables and hoses for nicks or cuts and replace if necessary.
Remove the Pierce Head Shield Cap from the Pierce Head and inspect the
o-ring. Replace o-ring if cuts, nicks, abrasions, or any other signs of wear are
found. Faulty o-ring may cause gas or additive leaks, which will affect cut
quality.
Fill the reservoir with FineLine Premium Piercing Additive (BK300372). The full
level is the bottom of the reservoir neck. Approximately 750 pierces before
reservoir needs to be refilled.
5.1.3 Water Treatment Filter
Replace the filter cartridge (KP4730-1) after 1040 hours of operation at
maximum flow, provided water quality specification is met (see Section 2.7).
