Description
This manual describes the IF92 device from Lika. IF92
is a USB to RS-232 converter. It is designed for
connection of devices equipped with RS-232 port
such as encoders (e.g. ASR58 / AMR58, HM58 P, …),
position displays (e.g. LD200, …), rotary actuators
(RD series). The above mentioned devices can be
equipped with a serial RS-232 port for purposes
such as programming the unit and/or data
transmission. IF92 is perfect for connection with
laptop and desktop computers that are not equipped
with a COM or a serial DB9 port.

1 - Identification
The device can be identified through data in the
label (order code and serial number). Information is
listed in the delivery document too. For information
on the technical features of the product, refer to the
technical catalogue.
2 – Compatible devices
Here following is the list of the devices in Lika's
range that are compatible with the use of the IF92
converter.
If the device to be connected is fitted with a cable
with flying leads, then the operator must properly
connect the wires to the terminals as described
hereafter and in the specific documentation, without
using any additional equipment.
On the other hand, if the device to be connected is
equipped with a connector, then the user must
install the optional mating cordset, it must be
ordered separately. In the following table the order
code of the mating cordset to be paired with each
device is listed. For any information on the
characteristics of the cable and its pin-out please
refer to the documentation of the cordset.
