On-Screen Menus/Displays Overview

Page 21

Descriptions of the menus and on-screen status displays.

Using MENU and the other keys indicated on the optional Installer’s remote, the user can access the
menus/displays described below.

Source Menu

Selects input sources to see and hear on the TV.

Setup Menu

Adjusts the basic characteristics of the TV

Auto Program

Automatically finds and stores active channels to scroll
through using Channel Up/Down.

Add/Del/Blnk

Manually pick and choose which active channels will appear
when using Channel Up/Down.

Channel Labels

Labels the channels with their network names (ABC, CBS, HBO, etc.).

Custom Ch Labels

Creates custom channel labels.

Source Name

Clock Set

Sets the time on the TV.

Timer

Sets the TV’s automatic turn On/Off times.

Captions

Selects Caption/Text options.

Tilt

Adjusts the tilt if the set is moved and the image requires alignment.

Degauss

Improves the quality color image on the screen.

Language

Chooses the language the on-screen menus will appear in.

Audio Menu

Customizes the sound. The options are: Bass, Treble, Balance, Audio
Mode, Front Surround, SoundRite, Audio Pref.

Video Menu

Customizes the picture. The options are:
Contrast, Brightness, Color, Tint, Sharpness, Picture Pref.

Parental

Allows user to block program content or the A/V sources for up to 99

Control Menu

Volume

Shows current sound level setting; press VOLUME Up/Down to activate.

Channel/Time

Shows the current time, channel, video and type of incoming audio
signal, or mute, and XDS* info; press ENTER to activate.

Ch Preview

Displays the available channels list; press CH PREVIEW.

Captions/Text

Turns selected Caption/Text option On and Off; press CC to activate.

Sleep Timer

Sets the time the TV will turn off.

Ghost Channel

Shows the current channel number in red scrolling down the screen.
Refer to Installer menu to turn off.

Alarm

Sets a time for the TV to automatically turn itself on.
