Flexible Button

The LIP-6812 has 12 flexible buttons with one assigned for Headset, and the LIP-6830 has 24
flexible buttons. Unused buttons (not used for Lines) can be assigned to various functions (refer
to
Table 3-1 Flexible Button Functions for available functions).
To change button functions:
1) Select the function from the drop-down menu next to button.

For Speed Dial function, enter the number to be dialed.
- For a Message button, enter the address or phone number of the Voice Mail Server.
2) If a function is changed, click the button.
To delete the function for all flexible buttons:
1) Select the button.
4.9.1 DSS Console
A 48-button DSS Console (side-car) may be equipped with an LIP-6812/LIP-6830 to provide
additional flexible buttons for special needs. Once the DSS Console is registered, the additional
buttons can be assigned.
