3. Set the new switch to use the Machine Type-Model (MTM) number of the old
unit. For example:

is the MTM from your old unit.

The MTM shown here is merely an example—use the actual MTM
recorded from your old G8124-E unit.
4. Set the new switch to use the serial number of the old unit. For example:

1000001
is the serial number of your old unit.

5. Reset the switch using the following command:

. The switch will then reboot.
