Select the current measurement function by turning the rotary switch to the
mA position.
Press the
button to view and to set the transformation ratio of a
connected probe (current or voltage). The big digits show
Pro
and the
mA
symbol next to the big display flashes.
With the
button it can be selected whether a current or a voltage
output probe will be connected to the instrument. – toggle between
mA or
mV
symbols.
With the
key the transformation ratio selection can be entered. Now the
default ratio shown in the small display flashes. The
key cycles through
the following loop of ratios: OFF 1, 10, 100, 500 or 1000.
1 and OFF in mA means direct current measurement with the delivered test
leads. 1:10, 1:100, 1:500 or 1:1000 means measurement through an external
current transformer with the selected transformation ratio.
Press the
button to return to the main screen. If mA and a ratio has been
selected then the large
I
and the current clamp symbol light up. If
mV
and a
ratio has been selected then the large
U
and the current clamp symbol are
displayed. The main display shows the scaled value in Amps.
For safety reasons, if switching out of the mA position the ratio screen turns
back to the default which is mA and a 1:1 ratio for direct current
measurement.
Connect the measuring leads into the measuring circuit (at direct current
measurement) or clamp the external probe around the single live conductor.
The instrument displays in the main display the scaled Amps RMS value and
the frequency of the AC component in the small display.
To activate the LIMIT (alarm) function press the
key. To set the lower limit
press the
key again and use the
to selects the digit and the
key
to increment the digit. When in this mode pressing the
first turns the lower
limit value off completely. To set the higher limit press the
key and use the
arrow keys as above. To activate the LIMIT function press the
key again.To
deactivate the LIMIT (alarm) function turn the rotary switch to a new position
