4.2.4.2 Qwes LD System
The Qwes LD cow identification system has three components:
• The cow tag (Qwes H, Qwes HR, Qwes H-LD or Qwes HR-LD).
• The IR LD reader.
• The LD receiver.
The reader is installed in a plastic box in the control box (see figure 10 on
page 4-10). It has the following components:
• Xenon flash light.
• Infrared transmitter and receiver.
•
Indicator LEDs for cow presence and data transfer.
•
pcb.
The transmitter, receiver and indicator LEDs are connected to the pcb, the
pcb is connected to the ADS3830 PCB.
4.2.4.3 Qwes ISO leg System
The Qwes ISO leg identification system has four components:
• The cow tag (Qwes ISO ACT leg).
• Floor antenna.
• EWA transformer.
• Velos box (VP1001).
The floor antenna (8) (see figure 5 on page 4-2) is installed on the front
portal. The Velos box (VP1001) is installed in the control box (1). The CAN-
bus cable of the Velos box is connected to connector J402 on the
ADS3830 PCB.
The floor antenna (8) detects the signal from the Qwes ISO ACT leg tag.
The EWA transformer (6) filters the identification signal from the
antenna signal and sends it to the Velos box (11) (see figure 12 on page 4-
12). The Velos box converts the analog signal to a digital (CAN-bus) signal
for the ADS3830 PCB.
4.3 Operator Interface
The feeding ration is set in the T4C farm management software. Machine
settings are set via the service interface (web browser) or the E-Link.
4.4 T4C Farm Management Software
The T4C software is used to:
• Setup the concentrate feeder.
• Get information about the food consumption.
• Set the amount of concentrate the concentrate feeder supplies.
