7.3 Setting the bale density
Note!
Reduction of the bale density is recommended:
•
for hey, if an airy bale core is desired.
•
for extremely short and dry material, if material jams in the
feed area occur.
Basic setup:
Turn handwheel (Figure 46) clockwise up to the stop.
Turn handwheel a full rotation back.
Bale test bale and assess quality.
If required: readjust bale density.
The preset bale density (i. e. the baling pressure) is indicated
on the pressure gauge [1] (Figure 47):
Interrupt power supply to BALERCONTROL control box (pull
plug).
Open the tail gate. The tail gate now opens slowly and does
not reach its highest position.
Read preset bale density (i. e. the baling pressure) on the
pressure gauge [1].
7.4 Raising / lowering the pick-up
Raising and lowering of the pick-up are effected directly via
the connected tractor control valve.
Before driving on the road, raise the pick-up hydraulically to
its top position and secure it there (close the shut-off valve
on the hydraulic tube of the pick-up, use safety chains)).
7.5 Pick-up guide wheels
Tine distance from ground in field use: min. 2 cm
Lift the pick-up (see chapter 7.4 Raising / lowering the pick-
up ).
Draw out spring clip [1].
Hook the plate [2] into the required hole.
Secure the pick-up guide wheels again with the spring clips.
Select the same adjustment on both sides.
