GMX902 GG/GMX902 GNSS, Description of the System
The GMX902 GNSS instruments are additionally designed to support Compass.
The Compass signal definition is not fully finalised, although test signals have
been tracked in a test environment. As changes can still occur, Leica Geosys-
tems cannot guarantee full Compass compatibility.
Antennas used
with instruments
AS10, AR10, AR25
Leica GNSS Spider
The office software which supports configuration and control of GMX902
GG/GMX902 GNSS for reference station and structural monitoring applications.
For further information refer to "1.5 Operation using Leica GNSS Spider".
1.3
Data Streaming
Raw data
The instrument can be configured remotely via GNSS Spider such that raw data
in proprietary Leica binary LB2 format can be output from communication ports
1 and 2.
1.4
Power Supply
External power
supply only
•
10.5 V-28 V DC power supply via a converter cable supplied by Leica
Geosystems
or
•
A 12 V power supply connected via a cable
Dual power input
The instrument can be connected to two independent power supplies via a Y-
cable. The instrument determines the power source with higher voltage.
On/Off behaviour
On: The instrument will turn on as soon as the power supply is connected.
Off: If the power supply is disconnected or if the data streaming is disabled, the
instrument will turn off.
Total discharge
If an instrument connected to a low powered external battery continues to
operate, total discharge of the battery can occur.
