• Set the light intensity using the brightness con-
trol (29.2).
• Close the fi eld diaphragm (29.4) until the edge
of the diaphragm appears in the specimen
plane).
• Using the condenser height adjuster (29.3), ad-
just the condenser until the edge of the fi eld
diaphragm appears in sharp relief.
• If the image does not appear in the middle of
the fi eld of view (30a.3), the condenser must be
moved into the middle of the fi eld of view with
the help of the two centering bolts (29.6). The
tool required for this purpose is magnetically
attached to the underside of the stage.
• Open the fi eld diaphragm just enough for it to
disappear from the fi eld of view (30a.4).
Caution:
The condenser height adjustment depends on
the thickness of the specimen. It may be adjusted
for different specimens.
