ISO is a measure of sensitivity to light. The
higher the sensitivity is set, the less light is
needed to take a picture so the camera
becomes more suitable for recording in
dark places.
• When setting to [AUTO], the ISO sensitivity
is automatically adjusted to a maximum of
[ISO200] according to the brightness. (It can
be adjusted to a maximum of [ISO640] when
using the flash.)
• ISO sensitivity is fixed to [ISO3200] in
[HIGH SENS.] (P48) in scene mode.
• To avoid picture noise, we recommend
decreasing the highest ISO sensitivity or
setting [COL.MODE] to [NATURAL]. (P66)
• The ISO sensitivity is set to [ISO LIMIT] in
intelligent ISO sensitivity mode [

Setting the aspect ratio of pictures
Select to take pictures with the
same aspect ratio as a 4:3 TV or a
PC monitor.
