Housing
Clean built-up grass clippings and dirt.

Blade Brake
Check the stopping time before each use.
The blade must stop within three seconds
of releasing the bail; if it does not, contact
your Authorized Service Dealer for repair.

Fasteners
Check the blade and the engine mounting
fasteners. Keep all fasteners tight to keep
the lawn mower in safe working condition.

Wheels
Oil the wheel bolts and grease the
fittings.
X
Spark Plug
Clean, inspect, and gap the spark plug.
Replace it if necessary.

Blade
Sharpen or replace the blade; maintain
the blade more frequently if the edge
dulls quickly in rough or sandy operating
conditions.

Air Filter
Remove and clean the air filter each
mowing season or every 50 operating
hours. Clean the air filter more frequently
in dusty operating conditions.

Self-propel
Drive
Inspect the cable adjustment every 50
operating hours or yearly. Adjust the
cable as needed.

Fuel System
Check the fuel system for leaks and a
deteriorating fuel hose. Replace parts if
necessary.

Exhaust Port
Have an Authorized Service Dealer
inspect and clean the exhaust port.

Cooling System
Clean off grass clippings, debris, or dirt
that can clog the engine air cooling fins
and starter. Clean the cooling system
more frequently in dirty operating
conditions.

Throttle
Adjust the throttle as needed.
Fuel Tank
Empty the fuel tank before certain repairs
as directed or before storage.
