DANGER
POTENTIAL HAZARD
•
Adjusting the height-of-cut levers could bring
your hands into contact with a moving blade.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
•
Contact with a rotating blade can cause serious
injury.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
•
Stop the engine and wait for all movement to
stop before adjusting the cutting height.
•
Do not put fingers under the housing when
adjusting the cutting height.
3. For easier adjustment, lift the housing up so that the
wheel is off the ground. Do not place your hands
under the deck to lift up the housing.
4. Squeeze the adjusting lever toward the wheel and
move it to the desired setting (Fig. 15).

5. Make sure that the pin on the adjusting lever engages
the notch in the housing. Adjust all the wheels to the
same setting.
Note:
The front wheels can adjust to 1/2 inch. Move the
wheel height adjustment levers past the one-inch setting
and release the pin into the notch in the housing.
Note:
When you need maximum power from your lawn
mower, or when you cut in spongy thatch that causes the
rear wheels to sink, raise the cutting height of the rear
wheels one increment higher. Make sure that all the wheel
settings are reset to the same setting when you cut in
normal conditions.
