INSTALLATION
Position the machine on a flat, horizontal surface. Remove the access lid from the tank
compartment and fill the tank with mains, drinking water (fig.1).
Power the machine by connecting its lead with the electrical outlet (fig. 2).
Move the switch to position 1 (fig. 3).
The light with voltage symbol in the top left-hand corner of the front will turn on
showing the machine is connected.
The lower light is off; it flashes when the level of water in the tank is too low.
After about two minutes the selection lights on the right-hand side of the front will turn
on indicating the operating temperature has been reached.

The first time the machine is installed or after it has not been used for a long time:
- bring the machine to operating temperature
-
turn the steam spout outwards
- place a receptacle on the cup compartment
-
press the “unrestricted quantity” button causing the machine to operate with the empty
pod supplied by Lavazza

This box contains the following articles:
1)
one Matinée machine
2) this manual.
3)
A cleaning kit comprising two cleaning-rods
(type B, type C) and a key (A) to force open
the pod blocking grips
4 ) Two empty pods (one of which is placed in the use position).
NOTE: pods should be kept for daily cleaning operations.
