Preparing a New Door
Verify that your new door is 1 3/8” – 2” thick.
1. Use the enclosed “Door Cutting Template” to mark your drill
holes.
Note:
Position template at correct height (suggested:
38” or 97 mm from floor). Mark center for lock hole.
2. Drill 2 1/8” hole through door. Do this by
drilling once
from each side
to center of door to avoid damaging door.
3. Drill 1 1/8” latch hole being sure to align the center of the
latch hole with the center of the main door hole.
