pushbutton depression duration the catch is unlocked for the preset time (default
value - 5 seconds). The lock catch is controlled by the control panel and operates
without a buzz typical for other systems (soundless operation). The catch operation
is indicated by audible signal from the cassette loudspeaker. All the above
mentioned times are programmable. The talking connection is interrupted when
the handset is placed on the uniphone cradle.
7.2. Coded lock.
Using the coded lock, built-in the CD-2500 door phone a tenant can enter staircase
without the use of the street-door key. The lock code can be programmed as
preferred by the user. The code can be changed either by the wireman on the user's
request or by the user observing instructions supplied
with the uniphone.
To open the coded lock, proceed as follows:
1 . select a number of your flat using the keypad - the selected number is displayed
2. touch the field marked witch - three horizontal dashes are displayed
3. keyüin four digits of your code “0” is a significant digit in the code and must not
be neglected even when it is at the first position.
If the entered code is correct, the electric catch or lock will be unlocked and the
staircase will be accessible. Each use of the coded lock is indicated (unless this
function is disabled by the program) by a short sound alarm in the corresponding
flat.
The CD-2000 system is supplied with a predefined code table, i.e. each flat has its
code entered and shown in the code table supplied with the electronic cassette.
The codes are generated during the production process by the controlling computer
and the manufacturer ensures that each door phone system is provided with unique
combination of codes.
7.3. Change of lock code.
The code can be changed by the tenant without assistance of the wireman. To
prevent the code change by unauthorized person, two persons are required for this
operation, one at the uniphone and the second at the control panel.
To change the code, proceed as follows:
1 . keyüin the flat number
2. wait for connection with the selected flat
3. touch the field
4. maintaining the î field touched ask a person at the uniphone to depress the
uniphone pushbutton three times
5. mark of the coded lock (three horizontal dashes) is dispalyed
6. release the î field and keyüin the previous code (to check if a person changing
the code is authorized to do so)
7. if the old code is correct [1-] will be displayed - key -in the first digit of a new
code; then [2-] will appear - key-in the second digit etc. With all four digits entered
a new code is stored in the electronic cassette memory. During the above steps the
uniphone handset must be removed from the cradle.
