6.4.2.1 Tab - Ethernet - Configuration

The tab allows to change Ethernet interface transmission parameters, the following 

interface modes are available:   

 

AUTO-NEGOTIATION

 – establishing the highest joint transmission speed 

100Mbit/s – full duplex

 – forced operation in 100Mbit/s full duplex  

100Mbit/s – half duplex 

- 

forced operation in 100Mbit/s half duplex 

10Mbit/s – full duplex

 - 

forced operation in 10Mbit/s full duplex 

10Mbit/s – half duplex

 

forced operation in 10Mbit/s half duplex 

 

AUTO

 –automatic MDI or MDI-X configuration depending on co-operating device 

MDI

 – forcing permanent MDI work mode 

MDI-X

 –forcing permanent MDI-X work mode 

 
Limiting of speed, for each port separately may occur: 

• 

n x 64 kbit/s , n = 1 to 32. 

• 

n x 1024 kbit/s, n = 3 to 32  

 
Flow control – turning on and off of the data flow control preventing overload of ports 
Frame filtering: 

• 

NetBios 

frames filtering

 

• 

DHCP – client

 frames filtering; DISCOVER and SELECTION packet filtering
