PREPARATION FOR USE

Fuel

WARNING:

DO NOT use a motor oil for 4 stroke engines.

1. Mix the petrol with a quality proven motor oil for air-cooled 2 stroke engines.

2. Recommended mixing ratio:
        Petrol:  Oil
             25 : 1

3. Use the fuel mixing container to mix the fuel. Please refer to the following notes:
Make sure that the mixing ratio and the required capacity are correct.
Add the 2 stroke oil in to the container through port of the smaller side.
After the oil level meets the required graduation, then tighten the cap.
Add the regular petrol through the port of the larger side.  When the petrol
graduation corresponds to that of the oil, then tighten the cap.
Shake well to ensure that the oil and petrol are well mixed before use.
Mix and store fuel only in an approved Petrol container.
    Keep the fuel/oil container clean.

OPERATING THE ENGINE

A. Before starting engine

1.Check working place, the cutting object and
cutting direction before starting work. If there is
an obstacle, remove it. Always have a planned
retreat path, that is clear from obstacles, from
the cutting area.

2.Use caution and keep bystanders and animals
out of the working area.

3. Inspect the machine for worn, loose, or
damaged parts. Never operate the machine if it is
damaged, improperly adjusted, or is not
completely and securely assembled. Make sure
the Blade and Guard are not damaged and that
there are no visible defects such as cracks, splits,
etc

B. Starting engine

For cold engine

1. Set Switch to  I  (START)  position.(Fig.2)

2.Move the choke lever to the full choke position    .

3. Push primer bulb until fuel is just seen in the
bulb (approx. 5 times.)(Fig.1)

4. Grasp the handle switch with your left hand,
place toe in handle.(Fig.4)

5. Pull the rope briskly. The engine will run. Then
return the choke lever down to the OFF position.
Allow engine to run at idling speed.

Note:

1. If the engine has not start after 6 pulls, return
the choke lever to the half choke or no choke
position. Pull the starter quickly until the engine runs.
2. When pulling the starter, do not use the full extent
of the rope. Use no more than 50cm of rope per pull.
Do not let starter rope snap back. Hold the handle
and let the rope rewind slowly.
3.Do not cut material with the choke lever at the
FULL CHOKE position.(Fig.3)

For warm engine, after running out of fuel.

1. Set switch to the I (START) position.
2. Grasp the handle switch.
3. Pull the starter rope quickly until the engine runs.
