OPERATION
CAUTION:
If this is the first time you have used a Petrol Hedge Trimmer, we recommend the
following tips. This also helps you to get accustomed to your Hedge Trimmer. It is not necessary
to force the blade, only light pressure is required while the engine is running at full speed.
Always hold the machine firmly with both hands when the engine is running. Use a firm grip
with thumb and fingers encircling the handles.
Keep all parts of your body away from the machine when the engine is running.
Make sure that the blade
stops moving when the throttle control trigger is released.
Keep the handles dry, clean and free of oil or fuel mixture.
DO NOT touch the muffler, spark plug or other metallic parts of the engine whilst the engine
is in operation, or immediately after stopping the engine. Doing so could result in serious burns.
Use extreme caution when cutting small size brush and saplings because slender material may
catch the blade and be whipped toward you or pull you off balance.
Always shut off the engine before setting the unit down.
DO NOT operate with one hand as this could result in serious injury. This machine is intended
for use with two hands only.
It is strongly recommended that you do not use the Hedge Trimmer whilst on a ladder or in
a tree.
When not using the unit, always fit the Blade cover and carry the saw with the muffler facing
away from your body, and the covered blade facing the rear.
DO NOT leave the unit running and unattended. Always switch off when not in use and refit
the Blade cover.
Only use original parts.
The Hedge Trimmer must only be used for cutting wood. DO NOT cut metal, plastics,
masonry etc..
Do not use the Hedge Trimmer as a lever for lifting, moving or splitting objects.
Stop the unit if the blade strikes a foreign object during use.
