Decommissioning the fire pit

•

Always think ahead when using the fire pit. Only

put on the amount of fuel that you actually need.

•

After you finish using the fire pit, or if you want

to interrupt use:

•

Do not leave the fire pit unattended while the fuel is still hot.

Allow charcoal or briquets to burn out. Care-

fully extinguish burning wood with a moder-

ate amount of water, avoiding splashes.

Never dispose of hot embers. Leave them in

the fire pit or fire bowl until they have cooled

down.

Using the fire pit as a barbecue

Only place barbecue charcoal or briquettes in the fire

Landmann.

(3) onto the large holding ring (4).

2.  Place barbecue charcoal or briquettes in the fire

bowl (2).

3.  Ignite the charcoal or briquettes with an approved

firelighter for barbecues. Observe the safety

instructions for the firelighter.

The first time you use the fire pit, heat for some

20 minutes without food so that the food-safe coat-

4.  When the charcoal or briquettes are completely

covered with a layer of ash, distribute them evenly

in the fire bowl by using a suitable metal utensil

(e.g. fire rake).

5.  Place the cooking grill (1) onto the large holding

ring (4).

6.  You can now put your grillables on the barbecue.

Always wear barbecue mittens or gloves that pro-

tect your hands against the heat.

Cleaning

Danger:  Risk of burning when cleaning

the hot fire pit

Some parts of the fire pit can become very hot. For

this reason, always allow the fire pit to cool down

before cleaning.  Never use water to quench the

hot fire pit. Wear protective gloves.

To make sure that you have many years of enjoyment

with your fire pit you should always clean it after use

with detergent, a brush and a cloth.
