APPENDIX
A1 REPLACING THE BACKUP BATTERY
The FTI 6 is fitted with a battery backup for the system configuration settings.
When the battery needs replacing a ‘BATTERY BACKUP FAILURE’ error
message will be displayed at the bottom of image viewing window.
To replace the backup battery:
1. Ensure that the imager is switched ‘OFF’, open the rear access panel on
the imager.
2. Remove any memory cards installed for access.
3. Unscrew the battery cover securing screw, but DO NOT remove.
4. Carefully remove the battery cover.
5. Using tweezers or small thin nose pliers remove the battery.
6. Fit new battery and replace battery cover.
7. Tighten the battery cover securing screw and insert memory cards.
The imager can now be switched ‘ON’.
NOTE
If the battery is removed it can NOT be refitted as it will be shorted
out when removed. Always fit a new battery.
