Grapple Set-up for Skid Steers &
Track Loaders
The grapple is shipped with factory standard hydraulic
hoses and couplers for connecting the grapple to a
tractor front mounted loader. Refer to “Grapple Set-up
for Tractors”
on page 10.
An Accessory Hydraulic Hose Kit #380-063A is available
through Land Pride’s Parts and Services for connecting
the grapple to a skid steer or track loader.
The following instructions are for attaching the Accessory
Hose Kit.
Hydraulic Hose Assembly (Accessory)
Refer to Figure 1-2:
1. Determine if hydraulic hoses (#8 & #9) attach to the
skid steer on its left-hand side or right-hand side.
2. If attaching hydraulic hoses on the left-hand side,
route hoses (#8 & #9) behind hitch plate (#2) as
shown. If attaching hoses on the right-hand side,
route hoses (#8 & #9) behind hitch plate (#3).
3. Attach hydraulic hoses (#8 & #9) to tee fittings
(#5A & #5B) as shown and tighten.
NOTE:
Do not remove orificed adapters (#11) from
tee (#5B) when connecting the grapple to a skid
steer or track loader.
4. Thread hydraulic hoses (#8 & #9) through hose
retainer (#1A or #1B) depending on which side the
hydraulic hoses exit from behind the hitch plates.
5. Attach straight adapters (#11) or 90
o
elbows (#10)
to hydraulic hoses (#8 & #9) and tighten.
6. Consult your skid power machine Operator’s Manual
to determine which hydraulic line on your machine is
under pressure. Select the male or female quick
connect coupler (#6 or #7) that will mate with your
machine’s pressure line coupler.
7. Attach selected quick connect coupler in step 6
above to hydraulic pressure line (#8) and tighten.
8. Attach remaining coupler to hydraulic return line (#9)
and tighten.
9. Continue with
“Connect Grapple to a Power
Machine” on page 12.
NOTE: Customer to select which fitting, 90 degree
elbows (#10) or straight adapters (#11), that works
best with your equipment set-up.
NOTE:
Pressure line (#8) attaches to lower tee
fitting (#5A) and terminates at the base end of both
hydraulic cylinders. Return line (#9) attaches to
upper tee fitting (#5B) and terminates at the rod end
of both hydraulic cylinders.
