Hook-Up Bucket Mount Post Hole Digger

Hook-Up Bucket Mount
If Post Hole Digger is already attached to the bucket, skip
to
“Hook-Up Hydraulic Hoses to Tractor”

!
To prevent serious injury or death:
Always shut power machine down using “Power Machine
Shutdown Procedure” on page 7 before dismounting the
power machine and/or allowing anyone to come near the
power machine and attachment.
Hook-Up Post Hole Digger to Bucket
Refer to Figure 1-3:
1.
If removed, attach bucket mount (#2) to right- or left-
hand side of the bucket. See step 3 under
on page 7 for detailed
instructions.
2.
Slowly approach Post Hole Digger with tractor and
bucket while using control levers to lower and align
bucket mount (#2) close to gearbox knuckle (#1).
3.
Shut power machine down using “Power Machine
Shutdown Procedure” on page 7 before dismounting.
4.
Manually align hole in knuckle (#1) with holes in
bucket mount (#2).
5.
Insert clevis pin (#4) and secure with cotter pin (#3).
Bend both legs of cotter pin around clevis pin to keep
cotter pin from falling out.

Hydraulic Hose Assembly
Refer to Figure 1-2:
1.
Screw MJIC end of adapter fittings (#4) to one end of
292" long hydraulic hoses (#7) and tighten.
2.
Screw quick release couplers (#8) to adapter
fittings (#4) until tight.
3.
Remove bolts (#3) and hose cover (#1).
4.
Remove plug from motor port “A” and screw o-ring
end of straight adapter (#6) to motor port “A” until
tight.

Screw 90
o
elbow (#5) to adapter (#6). Draw elbow up
snug with open end up. Do not tighten at this time.
6.
Remove plug from motor port “B” and screw o-ring
end of straight adapter (#6) to motor port “B” until
tight.
7.
Screw 90
o
elbow (#5) to adapter (#6). Draw elbow up
snug with open end up. Do not tighten at this time.
8.
Insert opposite end of hydraulic hoses (#7) through
hose guide (#2) and screw hoses to elbows (#5) until
tight.
9.
Tighten elbows (#5) to straight adapters (#6).
10. Replace hose cover (#1) and secure with
5/16"-18 x 5/8" GR5 hex flange serrated bolts (#3).
11. Tighten bolts (#3) to the correct torque.

Hydraulic hoses (#7), adapter fittings (#4),
and couplers (#8) are optional and may not be
included with the bucket mount assembly
