WARNING
!
To prevent serious injury or death:
Refer to Figure 1-4:

3.
With tractor set at an idle, engage hydraulics to view
auger rotation. The auger should rotate clockwise
when looking down from above. Switch couplers at
the duplex outlet if auger rotates counterclockwise:
a. Shut power machine down using “Power Machine
Shutdown Procedure” on page 7 before
dismounting.
b. Switch quick release couplers (#1A & #2A) at
tractor duplex outlet.
4.
Return to tractor and repeat steps 1-3 to verify auger
is rotating properly.
5.
Secure hydraulic hoses (#1 & #2) with customer
supplied ties along tractor loader arm to keep hoses
from becoming pinched, stretched, and/or kinked.
6.
Cycle loader through complete range of motions to
verify hydraulic lines will not become pinched,
stretched, and/or kinked. Make any necessary
adjustments.
Unhook Bucket Mount
Refer to Figure 1-4:
1.
Lower auger until auger tip touches the ground.
2.
Lay Post Hole Digger down as follows:
•
If auger is mounted on right side of bucket, slowly
turn tractor to the left while lowering bucket.
•
If auger is mounted on left side of bucket, slowly
turn tractor to the right while lowering bucket.
3.
Disconnect hydraulic hoses from tractor duplex.
4.
Coil hoses up and store on motor/gearbox housing.
Make sure couplers (#1A & 2A) are supported off the
ground.
Refer to Figure 1-3 on page 8:
5.
With Post Hole Digger laying on the ground, remove
cotter pin (#3) and clevis pin (#4).
6.
Return to the tractor and lift bucket away from auger.
7.
Replace clevis pin (#4) and cotter pin (#3) in the
gearbox knuckle (#1) for safe keeping.
NOTE:
Customer to select and supply ties for
securing hydraulic hoses along tractor loader arm.
Land Pride recommends ties that can be reused
without cutting them to remove hydraulic hoses
when unhooking the Post Hole Digger.
NOTE:
If preferred, bucket mount (#2) can be
removed from the bucket. See Figure 1-1 on page 7
for exploded view of mounting bracket. If removed,
store bracket with Post Hole Digger.
