Upper Hitch Plate Assembly
Refer to Figure 1-7:
1. Attach upper left-hand hitch plate (#2) to gearbox
mounting frame with 5/8
"
-11 x 1 1/2
"
GR5 bolts (#4),
lock washers (#11), and hex nuts (#7). Do not
tighten
hardware at this time.
2. Repeat step 1 above to attach upper right-hand hitch
plate (#3) to gearbox mounting frame.
3. Attach 1 1/4
"
OD spacer (#1) between upper 3-point
hitch plates (#2 & #3) with 3/4
"
-10 x 3 3/4
"
GR5
bolt (#5), lock washer (#12), and hex nut (#8).
4. Tighten all hex nuts (#7 & #8) to the correct torque.
5. Attach manual storage tube (#13) to hitch plate (#2)
with 1/4
"
-20 x 1 1/4
"
GR5 bolts (#6), flat
washers (#10), and nylock hex nuts (#9) as shown.
Tighten nylock nuts to the correct torque.
6. Continue with “Driveline Shield Assembly” on
page 14.
