Part No. 317-142A

Refer to Figure 4-15:

The optional storage stand may be used when the 
3-point Post Hole Digger is not in operation. It will help 
prolong your digger’s life by keeping the unit off the 
ground where moisture and debris are most likely to 
collect on the unit causing undue damage to it. Also, the 
storage stand aids in mounting and dismounting the Post 
Hole Digger to and from the tractor’s 3-point hook-up.

Refer to Figure 4-16:

1.

Remove auger (#1).

2.

Remove guards (#5). Keep lock washers (#3) and flat 
washers (#4). Discard 3/4" long bolts (#2).

3.

Attach stand channel (#6) and existing guards (#5) to 
underside of gearbox (#8) as shown using existing 
flat washers (#4), existing lock washers (#3), and 
1" long bolts (#7) provided with stand assembly. 
Tighten bolts (#7) to the correct torque.

Re-assemble auger (#1) with existing hardware. Refer to 

“Auger Assembly” 

on page 16

 for detailed 

instructions.

solid level ground to assemble storage stand and 
when using the storage stand to store unit.
