Auger Assembly
Refer to Figure 1-2:

Do not install a bolt that is longer than what was originally

Slide auger tube (#4) over gearbox output shaft (#1)
until mounting holes are in alignment.
2.
Insert bolts (#2) and secure with Locknuts (#3).
Torque locknuts to the proper torque.

NOTE:
Use a hoist or other lifting device to lift Post
Hole Digger. If lifting device is not available, attach
Post Hole Digger to a tractor or skid steer and use
equipment hydraulics to raise unit

Refer to Figure 1-13:
1.
Connect quick release couplers (#1) to the tractor’s
high pressure outlets.(Quick release couplers
supplied by customer.)
2.
While seated in the tractor seat, lift Post Hole Digger
up until auger is off the ground 1 to 2 inches.
3.
With tractor set at an idle, engage hydraulics to view
auger rotation. The auger should rotate clockwise
when looking down from above. If auger rotates
counterclockwise, switch couplers at the duplex out
as follows:
a. Disengage hydraulics, set tractor in park or set
park brake, lower Post Hole Digger until auger is
resting on the ground, shut tractor engine off, and
remove switch key before dismounting tractor.
b. Switch quick release couplers at the duplex outlet
on the tractor.
4.
Return to the tractor and repeat steps 9-10 to verify
auger is rotating properly.
5.
Bucket mount & skid/loader hitch mount only:
Secure hydraulic hoses along the loader arms as
needed with zip ties (#2) to keep hoses from
becoming pinched, stretched, and/or kinked.
