Hooking Up Skid/Loader Mount
!
WARNING!
To prevent serious injury or death:
•
A crushing hazard exists while hooking-up and unhooking
•
Check hitch fit-up frequently to make sure loader hitch is
Refer to Figure 1-11:
1.
Check for and remove any debris in the hitch point
areas before hooking-up to the Post Hole Digger.
2.
If needed, pull locking handles up on skid/loader
hitch mount until locking pins are fully raised.
3.
Carefully and slowly drive up to the Post Hole Digger
making sure the skid/loader hitch mount is parallel
with the top angle bar on the Post Hole Digger hitch
plate.
4.
Rotate top of loader tilt arms slightly forward.
5.
Place top of skid/loader hitch mount under the top
angled bar on the Post Hole Digger hitch plate.
6.
Slowly lift skid/loader hitch mount up until quick
attach hitch and top angle bar have come together.
7.
Rotate top of skid/loader hitch mount back to align
bottom slots in the Post Hole Digger hitch plate with
locking pins on the skid/loader hitch mount.
8.
Push lock handles on the skid/loader hitch mount
down until locking pins fully extend through bottom
slots in the Post Hole Digger hitch plate. Make sure
locking handles are locked into position to keep pins
from backing out.

If auger is not assembled to the gearbox output shaft,
skip to
10. If auger is assembled to gearbox output shaft, skip to
“Hydraulic Hook-Up to Tractor”

Unhooking Skid/Loader Mount
Refer to Figure 1-11:
1.
Park skid steer/tractor with Post Hole Digger on a flat,
level solid surface and lower Post Hole Digger until
its auger point is resting on the ground.
2.
Slowly back up while continuing to lower the Post
Hole Digger until the hitch plate is resting on the
ground.
3.
Shut tractor or skid steer down properly. Refer to
“Tractor Shutdown & Storage”
on page 1 and
“Skid
Steer Shutdown And Storage”
on page 1 for
detailed instructions.
4.
Disconnect hydraulic hoses and wrap them around
the Post Hole Digger hitch plate to keep fittings out of
the dirt.
5.
Pull lock handles up to remove pins from bottom slots
in hitch plate.
6.
Return to the skid steer or tractor and tilt top of skid/
loader hitch mount
slightly forward toward the Post
Hole Digger.
7.
Slowly lower skid/loader hitch mount until the hitch
and top angle bar on the Post Hole Digger hitch plate
have separated.
8.
Back skid steer or tractor slowly away from the Post
Hole Digger while making sure the skid/loader hitch
mount does not interfere with the Post Hole Digger.
