Installation Instructions
Ventilation
There must be adequate flow or air from outside the
cabinetry to the base of the hob.
• If the hob is installed above a drawer or cupboard
space, a thermal protection barrier must be
installed below the base of the hob.
•
The hob is fitted with fans that switch ON and OFF
automatically to cool its electronic components.
• Keep ventilation slots beneath the hob clear of
obstruction as this may cause damage / failure of
the appliance. Sufficient supply of inlet air must be
provided as shown in these installation instructions.
• Clearance between the hob and kitchen furniture
or built-in units must provide for sufficient
ventilation.
• When the hob's cooling system is not able to cool
sufficiently (e.g. during a power cut):
We recommend that the back wall of the bottom
cabinet (in the area of the worktop cut-out) be
opened and that the front traverse strip of the unit
be removed over the entire width of the appliance
in order to promote the circulation of air.

• The clearance between the hob and an extraction
hood must be at least as large as the that
stipulated in the assembly instructions for the
cooker hood.
• Ensure the power cable cannot come into contact
with hot appliance parts.
• Route the power cable so that it does not come
into contact with any moving kitchen parts (e.g.
drawer). It must not become trapped.
• The power cable must not be accessible through
cupboard doors or drawers.
• The isolation switch must be easily accessible by
the customer (above the worktop).
