Electromechanical parking brake
Manually engaging and releasing the Parking Brake
•
To engage the parking brake, pull the button

; the LED in the button will turn on.
• To manually release the parking brake, with the instrument cluster on, press the brake or accelerator pedal and press the button
1
at the same time.
Automatic Parking Brake Engagement
If the vehicle is shut off with the gearbox in neutral, the parking brake is engaged
automatically when the driver's door is opened. It is nevertheless possible to manually
release the parking brake.
Automatic Parking Brake Release
When the driver's door is closed, their seat belt is fastened and the indicator light is
lit in the instrument cluster, pressing the accelerator pedal to drive away as normal will
release the parking brake.
If the
indicator light is lit in the instrument cluster, release the parking brake manually.
Auto Hold
When driving off in a forward gear, auto hold helps the driver with prolonged stops or
frequent braking, for example at traffic lights, on hills or in heavy traffic.
Activation and Deactivation

With the driver door open and the engine running, press the button

to activate the system; the LED in the button will turn on.
• Press the button

to deactivate the system.
Stopping and driving off with the auto hold system
The auto hold operates as soon as it detects that the vehicle has stopped; when the indicator light comes on in the instrument cluster, you may take
your foot off the brake. To deactivate the brake and allow the vehicle to move, press the accelerator pedal as usual.
In some cases, the job of holding the vehicle is no longer performed by the auto hold function, but rather by the parking brake; in this case, the LED in the
button

will light up.
