Accessing the Vehicle
Emergency Door Opening and Closing
Unlocking the driver door
•
Insert the emergency key under the lock cover at the rear of the driver door
handle and carefully apply leverage to remove it.
• Insert the emergency key in the lock and turn to the left to unlock the driver door.
• Switch the instrument cluster on within 15 seconds to prevent the alarm going
off. In some versions, the alarm will go off as soon as a door is opened. To shut
off the alarm, switch on the instrument cluster.
Locking the driver door

Insert the emergency key in the lock and turn to the right to lock the driver door.
Unlocking the front passenger door and rear doors
•
If the vehicle battery is operational, switch on the instrument cluster and
open the doors from the inside.
• If the vehicle battery is flat and the child lock is not active, pull the internal
handle.
Locking the front passenger door and rear doors in an emergency
The emergency locking device is located on the rear of the doors, and is visible only
with the doors open.
• Remove the protective cover on the lock.
• Insert the emergency key in the lock, pull the internal handle until it engages, then
turn the key all the way to the left (towards the vehicle) in the right-hand doors and
all the way to the right (towards the vehicle) in the left-hand doors.
WARNING!
Once the front and rear passenger doors have been locked with the emergency key, it will no longer be possible to open them from the
inside. Do not allow any passengers to occupy the front passenger seat or the rear seats: the result could be fatal!
