WRIST BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR

measured may be inaccurate.

Consult your doctor for measuring the arterial pressure of a child.

•  We recommend using the left arm for taking the measurements.

•  If the appliance is used in temperature and humidity conditions outside the limits

given in the “Technical Features” the readings may not be accurate.

INSERTING/REPLACING BATTERIES

1) Slide the battery cover in the direction of the arrow.

2)  When installing or replacing the two batteries, insert them in accordance with the polarity marked.

3) Place the cover back to its position. At this point, proceed with the setting of date and time, as

shown in the paragraph “Date/time setting”.

When the battery symbol appears on the display, the batteries must be replaced as they are flat.

Remove the batteries whenever the instrument is not going to be used for a long time.

4) Remove run down batteries by sliding the cover of the batteries compartment, following the

arrow direction.

Extract the batteries and dispose them as special waste at the specific collection points forecast

for recycling. For more information about the disposal of run down batteries, please contact either

the store where the device containing the batteries was purchased, or the Municipality, or the

waste disposal local service.

Caution: For greater safety, children younger than 12 years should not remove the

batteries.

DATE/TIME SETTING

1)  With switched off device, press simultaneously the keys “O/I” and “M”: on the display blinks the

number related to the month.

Use the key “M” to adjust this value: by keeping it pressed, the scrolling of the numbers becomes

faster. Press the key “O/I” to confirm it.

2)  Now, it blinks the day: adjust using the key “M” and confirm with the key “O/I”.

3)  Now, the hours blink: adjust using the key “M” and confirm with the key “O/I” (the display shows

the time in 24-hour format).

4)  Now, the minutes blink: Adjust using the key “M” and confirm with the key “O/I”.

The display shows the time, minutes and date. When batteries are inserted or replaced, the display

shows “12:00 1M 1D”: at this point, set again the hours and minutes as described under points

1, 2, 3 and 4.

APPLYING THE WRIST CUFF

These instructions must be followed in order to take measurements on either your right or left wrist.

We recommend measuring on the left wrist, but always use the same one even if

the right is used.

1)  With the palm of your hand facing up, apply the instrument so that the edge of the cuff is approx.

1-2 cm from your palm.

2)  Apply the wrist cuff around your bare wrist and fasten it in place with the Velcro fastening.

3)  The wrist cuff must be snug around your wrist, but not too tight.

PERFORMING A MEASUREMENT

1) After having positioned the device on the right or left wrist, press the key O/I. When the device

is ON, the key O/I lights.

The device emits a long acoustic signal and on the display, only for few seconds, all function

symbols do light.

2) Should any previous measurements have been stored, the display shows the last measurement

stored and after some seconds, it shows “0”.

At this point, the device is ready for the measurement. If there are no measurements stored, the

display shows “0” immediately.

3)  The wristband starts inflating automatically.

4) On the display, the following values appear: systolic, diastolic, pulse, date and time of the

measurement, as well as the symbol

only if irregular pulse (arrhythmia) has been detected.

Try to remain relaxed, without speaking and without moving.

The segments appearing on the left of the display show the classification of the blood pressure
