Troubleshooting
See below for solutions to common problems. If you have more questions about your Labtec speakers, visit
www.labtec.com.
Speakers produce weak or no sound.
• Is the power light on? Make sure the speakers are plugged into an electrical outlet and the power button
is on.
• Is there output from the soundcard? Try connecting the speakers to an alternative audio source - for
example, a CD player, cassette tape deck, or radio. If there is sound from the speakers, the problem is
probably with your soundcard. If no other sound source is available, try removing the plug from the
soundcard and turning the speaker to maximum volume. You should hear a hum or buzz when you touch
the tip of the plug. If you do, the speaker is OK, and you should check your soundcard setup.
One speaker doesn’t produce sound.
• Is the soundcard connection secure? Make sure the cable from the soundcard to the main speaker is
properly secured.
• Is the balance control centered?
