Safety

Figure 2-7 Body safety prop

To set the body safety prop:

Make sure that there is enough clearance above the body to raise it safely.

Start the engine.

With the Body Up switch on the in-cab control panel, raise the body until the safety prop is free
to tilt under it.

Release the safety prop using the safety prop handle and position it adequately.

Figure 2-8 Safety prop handle

Lower the body until it rests on the safety prop using the Body Down switch on the in-cab control
panel.

Lock out and tag out the vehicle (see

Locking Out and Tagging Out the Vehicle

on page 12).

You can now work safely underneath the body.
