14. Other hot beverage
Steam dispensing
Plunge the steam jet pipe (

) into the liquid to be heated in a
suitable container and turn the steam adjustment knob (
5
).
When thes liquid is hot, stop the flow of steam by turning
knob (
5
) the other way (towards “0”).
Heating milk for frothy coffee (cappuccino)
Use a tall narrow jug and fill it up to about the half-way mark.
Then plunge the steam jet pipe (
4
) into the milk.
Gradually open up the steam tap (
5
) and heat the milk for
a few seconds.
When the required amount of froth has been made and the
temperature is sufficiently high, stop the flow of steam by
turning knob (
5
) the other way (towards “0”).
When the steam jet pipe (
4
) is no longer required, clean it
thoroughly with a sponge and a clean cloth.
Dispensing hot water
Position a container under the hot water pipe (
6
) and press
the hot water dispensing pushbutton (
7
).
When the required amount has been dispensed, release
the pushbutton (
7
).
Cappuccino-making (optional)
Milk
Being a biological product, milk is subject to alteration and
heating changes its structure.
Therefore, as soon as a container of milk is opened, it
should be kept at a low temperature to preserve it. Cimbali’s
“Frigomilk” unit is especially designed for this purpose.
Preparation of cappuccino
Just use the filter-holder that has a single spout.
Remove the filter-holder (
8
) from the dispenser unit and
remove all the used coffee grounds; then fill with fresh
ground coffee and press firmly.
Insert the filter-holder (
8
) into the dispenser unit and se-
cure firmly.
Place a cappuccino cup or other appropriate container
under the spout of the filter holdert.With the special spout
of the "Milk system", the cappuc cino cup or other con-
tainer must not be moved between the dispensing of the
coffee and milk.
Turn the left control knob (
2
) on position"1" and then back
to "0" as soon as the desired quantity of coffee in the cups
has been reached.
Open the steam tap, whipped milk will come out imme-
diately.
To stop delivery once the desired quantity has been obtai-
ned, close the steam tap.
15. Water level control of boiler
The machine is fitted with a series of automatic level control
devices to keep the water in the boiler at a pre-set level.
The indicator light
(9
) comes on when water enters the
boiler.
Scalding hazard!
Use the appropriate
insulating devices to move the water and
steam wands.
Cleaning of steam dispensing pipes
At the conclusion of each steam dispensing
phase:
- Using a clean sponge, wash with hot water
removing any organic residue present. Rinse
carefully.
- clean the inside of the steam nozzle as
follows:
Turn the nozzle towards the cup tray and
carefully activate steam dispensing at least
once.
