3.3.2.3  NGT-9000R, RD, R+, and RD+ Release 1 

1.

 

Verify that the following messages are not shown on the display. If a message is observed, cycle 
power to the Lynx MSS system. If the message continues to be shown, refer to the appropriate Lynx 
MSS Installation Manual for detailed troubleshooting information or contact ACSS Field Service. 

•

 

NO LRU RESPONSE (incorporated in CP-2500 Firmware 15 and later) 

•

 

GPS FAIL 

•

 

XPNDR FAIL 

•

 

ADS-B SYSTEM FAIL 

•

 

TAS FAIL (Software 1.2 only)

The following messages may be seen, but do not indicate a problem with the CP-2500 or the Lynx 
MSS.  

•

 

GPS INIT: This message is removed after the GPS completes initialization.  

•

 

NO ADS-B COVERAGE: This message is removed once the Lynx MSS begins receiving an 
ADS-B ground station signal.

The following messages may be seen, but do not indicate a problem with the CP-2500 or the Lynx 
MSS.  

•

 

GPS INIT: This message is removed after the GPS completes initialization.  

•

 

STANDBY: (Release 2.1 or Later). This message is seen only when the transponder STANDBY 
mode is activated by the remote discrete to the NGT-9000R.  Typically, only used in dual NGT-
9000R installations.   

•

 

NO ADS-B COVERAGE: This message is removed once the Lynx MSS begins receiving an 
ADS-B ground station signal.  

•

 

“X” DEGRADED (X = ADS-B OUT, ADS-B IN, TAS, TAWS) 

•

 

“X” INHIBITED (X = TAWS, OBSTACLES) 

•

 

TAWS UNAVAILABLE 

•

 

ADS-B IN UNAVAIL – POS: This message is removed when both sufficient track/heading 
information is received.  If no heading source is installed, the track angle is not considered valid 
unless a speed of 7 knots is present and a GPS position solution of sufficient quality begins to be 
received.   

•
