BURNER ORIFICE
CAUTION
Allow the heater to cool before servicing.
1. Disconnect the heater from its electrical supply and
close all fuel supply valves to inlet of the heater.
2. Remove the case top from the heater and the right
side panel (when viewed from air inlet end of heater).
3. Disconnect the electrical lead from the igniter.
4. Remove the screw that secures the igniter to the
burner plate. Pull the igniter from the burner plate.
5. Install the new igniter by reversing the above
procedures.
IMPORTANT
The tip of igniter electrode should be 1/8 in. gap from the
burner plate when the igniter is installed.
6. Reinstall the case top and side panel.
7. Reconnect the heater to its electrical supply.
8. Start the heater and check for proper operation.

1. Disconnect the heater from its electrical supply and
close all fuel supply valves to the inlet of the heater.
2. Remove the case top from the heater.
3. Loosen the compression nut at the orifice inlet using
the appropriate wrench.
4. Remove the bowed retaining ring nearest the
compression nut.
5. Reaching down the heater barrel, pull the orifice from
the burner plate.
6. The replacement orifice ships with two (2) retaining
rings. Attach the flat ring to the orifice as shown in
Fig. 8. Reaching down the barrel, position the orifice
into the burner plate. Secure the orifice into position
using the bowed retaining clip.
7. Thread the compression nut onto the orifice and
tighten securely.
8. Reconnect the heater to its electrical supply and open
the fuel supply valves to the heater.
9. Start the heater and check for proper operation.
Leak check the compression sleeve and orifice
connection.
10. Shut the heater off and reinstall the top cover.
